| Xenon Illuminators
|
Luzchem's LUZ-XE xenon lamps and
power supplies were originally developed for use in laser flash
photolysis and time-resolved diffuse reflectance applications,
but have proven useful for a wide range of spectroscopy applications.
This xenon illuminator uses ceramic Cermax lamps, with either elliptical
or parabolic internal mirrors and have a remarkable 50 Watt optical
output for a 300 Watt lamp. They are available with either focused or
parallel beams, and either full UV, ozone free ( >320 nm), or with a
hot filter that eliminates both ultraviolet and NIR emissions. A
number of adaptors are available for the LUZ-XE xenon light source,
including fiber optic coupling and support for lenses and filters.
An optional shutter is also available and can be operated manually or computer controlled. Luzchem's xenon illuminator
is air-cooled, and can operate at 110 or 220 volts, 50/60 Hz.
Applications include laser photolysis monitoring, UV exposure, and as a microscopy light source.
